How do I know when my offroad shocks need to be serviced?

We're answering some of our most common shock questions!
What shocks do you service?
Aftermarket off-road, truck, Ford Raptor, and RZR shocks from: ADS, King, FOX, Radflo, Bilstein (not factory), Walker Evans, Icon, Donahoe, RZR Fox IBP shocks, Sway-a-Way. We do not service non-offroad/street shocks, but Naake Suspension does.
How do I know when my shocks need service?
If you notice:
- Visible leakage, excessive noise, decreased handling/performance, excessive bouncing, heavy duty use, it’s been a couple of seasons or if you have driven over 40,000-50,000 miles since your last service. These are all good signs that it might be time to get your shocks serviced
- Racing shocks often times need to be serviced at least once a season
- We can always do an inspection for $50/shock to determine if your shocks need to be rebuilt, which then gets credited towards your full service if you move forward
What if I'm not local, can I ship you my shocks?
Yes! Please include your contact information inside the package so we can clearly identify whose shocks they are when they arrive. We will call to confirm receipt and address any questions you may have.
We will return them using the most cost-effective shipping method available, unless you request otherwise, and you will be responsible for the return shipping cost. All return shipments will include insurance for added protection. Please note that shipping shocks is typically expensive, and these costs are passed on to the customer.
What's your turnaround time?
Our standard turn-around time is generally 3-5 business days UNLESS a non-standard service item needs replacing, such as bent or damaged shaft, damaged seal head bearing or wear band, etc. In this case (which is quite often), it depends on vendor availability and shipping time for the new part.
Do you do re-valving?
We sure do! We can do an in-person tuning session or we can talk about your rig and what you are experiencing and make educated valving changes with or without a full rebuild.
Do you offer mobile shock tuning?
Yes, our mobile shock trailer allows us to meet you at Prairie City or other OHV sites for specific tuning needs for your Ultra4 race car or off-road rig. Please call for availability and pricing for mobile tuning. Starting at $800.
